Does not equal 100.
I'm 50 years old. Beginning with today, there are 50 days left in 2010. I like the roundness of that, though I don't care for the roundess of my belly or thighs right now.
All that bright and shiney hope from January 1 is now down to 50 days left.
There are choices to be made. Tough choices.
What can I accomplish? Where will I be come December 31?
What about YOU?
Hi Helen, found your blog from Jack's site, and LOVE it. I can relate, I'm 2 years away from 50, and really trying to get fit and healthy for the next decade and beyond. Thanks for your words, I'll be bookmarking and visiting regularly.
ReplyDeleteWow! When you put it like that it makes me want to get busy and see what I can accomplish in the last few days of this year. Kind of like a challenge. :)
ReplyDeleteEvery day is a new day, and I think there's much to be accomplished both personally and professionally during the rest of this year. Nice post to remind your readers that no matter what you've done already this year, it can end on a successful note.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have made some great accomplishments in the past 3 months, I too, have so much more to accomplish! I'm still pushing forward and the good thing is... even tho I may not be where I want to be by the end of the year, I can keep working at it next year too.
ReplyDeleteThis hits me right between the eyes because I'm worse off physically than I was last year at this time. And I feel like shit about it.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to weigh less on January 1st than I do now. I'm not putting a number on it because I never put a number on it, but even with the holidays, I know I can do it!
ReplyDeleteThis time of year just flies by for me, so I am hoping I can slow down, enjoy the holidays, keep moving and trying to make each day the best that I can.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I happen to lose a couple pounds, all the better! :D
Hugs!
Really, 50 days left? I need to get busy. Thanks for the eye-opening reminder!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where I will be. I hope where-ever I am, I'm happy and healthier.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice thought, I have to think about that where I will be. I did some thinking about my life last week while on vacation, nothing big just small changes, think I'm going to work on that.
ReplyDeleteYikes, that's not a lot of time! I hope I can make it count!! Now I have to write some goals down....
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I intend to be doing what I am currently doing. Making good healthy choices, continue to exercise, eat well and enjoy each day as it comes.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fine time to make the end of this year the best year ever!
ReplyDeleteIt struck me as well, Helen, that there are only 50 days left. The best part of this is that we are the folk AWARE of the time left before a new year starts, and that places us in the powerful position to make these last 50 days TOTALLY AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI'm also strategizing ... good luck with yours! xx
I so want to be doing maintence by the end of the year I am so close just 4.5 pounds away. Good luck with your plans for the "rest" of the year.
ReplyDeleteI personally am looking forward to the end of the year. I'm over and done with reflecting about all of the things that's happened. This particular year is trying to define me and I'm struggling with that concept.
ReplyDeletewow.
ReplyDeletethis year is FLYING and Im kinda glad.
Im ready for a new one but until its arrival I shall spend 50 days stretching my glutes :
