November 29: I am very thankful that I live on the shoreline with easy access to great beaches.
Sometimes when people find out that I live near a beach and also prefer to vacation at a beachy destination, it surprises them. Why not ski they invariably ask. Because the beach is my happy place and the snow would be the opposite of that. Give me the sun, sand and some Coppertone and I am a happy woman indeed.

The beach is my happy place too. There is nothing like the smell of the sea and listening to the waves.
ReplyDeleteI'd take the beach over snow any day!
ReplyDeleteI'd take the beach over snow any day, as well. However, my happiest place is vacationing where there is a lot of history, complete with museums, historical homes, historical presentations and preferrably some beautiful scenery . I admit it--I'm a nerd!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know until my recent trip that I was a beach/resort kind of person. I'd always eschewed those kinds of vacations until I actually spent three days doing exactly that.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like the snow, the beach trumps snow every time. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI live very close to the beach too. I don't like to actually go in the water or lay out on the beach (I'm very fair skinned) but I do enjoy walking the shore line and watching the waves. It is very peaceful for me. Oh, I have been skiing, and I hate it! Give me the beach anytime over snow!
ReplyDeleteI love your happy place, we all should have one. My happy place is my living room surrounded by R. and Bella.
ReplyDeleteI always envied my Connecticut friends who lived on the shoreline. That includes you too now, missy! :)
